We are proud to be the only 5-star boutique hotel within the protected natural area 'Las Huertas de Comala'. Sharing the beauty of our hometown is something that brings us so much joy.
This is why in 2021, we opened the doors to our home –La Paranera– to create a unique accommodation experience.

After 3 years of hosting travelers from around the world, we decided to extend our lodging offer, so we transformed an old hacienda into ‘Casa Paranera’. Our aim is to share the experience of our Magic Town with more visitors. Thank you for your interest in us!

Spring of the Orchards

In the mid-20th century, Don Samuel Fuentes Salazar, originally from Comala, became the custodian of this land and transformed it into an orchard with productive species from the region: mamey, guamúchil, coconut palm, guava, mango, soursop, and coffee.

Tradition that endures

Seventy years later, Don Samuel's family continues the legacy of preserving this unique microecosystem in the region.

La Paranera

Name of the old spring of Las Huertas, where centuries ago the inhabitants of Comala came to fill their jugs at the spring. Around it grew a grass called pará or parán.

Casa Paranera

This construction was built in 1898 as an hacienda, in what then was the outskirts of Comala. By 1994, it was remodeled to become the home of the Sandoval family.

With the intention of maintaining the classic traits of an authentic casona comalteca, we preserved its main patio and corridors, restored the wood of doors and windows, and kept the ironwork, adobe walls and stone sidewalks, honoring more than 120 years of history.

In 2024, Casa Paranera became the perfect addition to La Paranera: an ideal destination for travelers who seek to enjoy the beauty of our charming town.
